Sylvie Lafontaine is a writer and editor from Northern Ontario, Canada who is fluently bilingual in French and English. She graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Psychology (in French). In 2016, she graduated with a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health, with a thesis focusing on the impacts of shared reading with preschoolers on their language development.

Since 2003, she has been an editor in many mediums: newspaper, novels, blogs, academic papers, doctoral theses, etc. For a span of three years, she worked very closely with a successful self-published sci-fi author, helping him polish his back catalogue and editing his works-in-progress at the time. Her love of the written word fuels her passion for both writing and editing; there are few things that bring her more joy than helping stories find their way into the hands of readers.
